How to do a BRAIDOUT – w/ better curls /waves- Satin Scarf Method -Part 1 of 2_tickin4gold

http://zanandrob.com/hair/how-to-do-a-braidout

Part 1 - How to do a Braidout. This braidout is done on dry hair. This can be done on any hair type- naturally curly, coily, straight, relaxed etc.
My hair is texlaxed. This braidout involved using 3 cornrows, and my unconventional satin fabric method. I am still getting used to blunt cut hair, so braiding the ends is kind of a challenge. With that being said, if I didn't use the satin fabric, I don't know how I'd get my braids to stay- so I guess it works out. Watch out for part 2 where I show the results of the braidout.

Detailed braidout instructions on my website. Link above.

Enjoy.

    Hey, you should …
Hey, you should watch my “Good Braidout vs Bad Braidout” Video to see how I compare the regular braidouts with the satin scarf braidouts.
But 1 reason is it gives better definition. The scarf is acting like a flexirod/roller. Instead of wrapping your around it, you braid your hair with/around it.

    hi silverflowers1, …
hi silverflowers1, I didn’t just stumble on the satin scarf method. There are quite a few reasons why I started doing it.

1 reason it gives better definition is the scarf is acting like a flexirod/roller. Instead of wrapping your around it, you braid your hair with/around it.
I will do a blog post on it on ZanAndRob . com to shed more light on this.

    Sure, I think it …
Sure, I think it will work that way too. I never tried the outside cornrow because everytime I start cornrowing, I somehow always revert to the inside cornrow.

Instead of putting the scarf under your hair as I show in the “how to cornrow with a satin scarf” vid, you would start the cornrow with the scarf on top of your hair.

    will it work the …
will it work the same with an over-handed braid..like one that sits on top and sticks up..like a regular cornrow??
