Ever since you guys found out that I cut my own hair, I've been getting a lot of emails asking me how I achieve the layers. Well this is it. Enjoy.

I'm personally not a fan of the V-shaped hair. That's when you have a "V" shape when you gather all your hair to the back. In this video, I'll show you how to get a natural straight hemline without making it look too blunt.

*PLEASE NOTE: I cut/layer my hair by dividing horizontal chunks of hair because I have less hair. This way, I achieve lots of layers without losing volume. If you have a LOT of hair, section the hair you're going to layer vertically and cut it at an angle doing down. I'm so sorry I forget to mention this in the video! Good luck!

Curly hair is a bit tricky to cut since you need to have straight hair to do the long layered cut. Therefore, measure your hair when it's dry with the curls still in it, then mark your guide, then wet it to straighten it. find your guide, then cut it bluntly, just like in the long layered cut video. IF you have any questions or are unsure of yourself, don't try it. Go to a hairdresser who can do it for you, and explain the haircut to her.
