This technique teaches you how to work with straight, thick hair and to complement the hairs natural direction. Textured length over the perimeter and back is a feature of this cut, along with shorter back and a fringe effect that is lighter and feathery. Hair is kept evenly damp and layering begins at the nape and blends through both sides. The previously cut hair is always used to guide cutting and prevent over-direction.
